Simple outdoor living
Dinghy camping: travel light
When a small sailing boat carries not only the crew but also sleeping gear, food and the essentials for several days, it becomes a tiny floating home. Dinghy camping combines sailing with a simple life outdoors.

Take less, experience more
Space is limited aboard a small dinghy, so preparation matters. What do you really need? What must stay dry? How can everything be stowed so that it remains secure while sailing and in changing weather?
Useful equipment depends on the boat, season, cruising area and personal comfort. Sharing experience can help, but there is no single packing list that fits everyone.
Spending the night by the water
A night outdoors may mean a quiet anchorage, a permitted place ashore or a suitable harbour. Wild camping and anchoring are not allowed everywhere. Local regulations, nature protection, fire restrictions and consideration for residents must be part of the plan. A harbour can be the right choice when shelter or safety is needed.
Share practical experience
What works on a small boat? How do you keep bedding dry? What can you cook aboard? How much food fits for several days? In an open community, sailors can exchange practical ideas instead of figuring everything out alone.
